About
The Florence Biennale is a juried international exhibition of contemporary art and design held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The XVI edition takes place 23-31 October 2027.
Artists and designers apply online with works made within the last five years; the application is free and reviewed by the Curatorial Board. Admitted participants then pay a participation fee that varies with the exhibition space and services chosen (covering venue, insurance, installation, catalogue and promotion; transport excluded). Final application deadline is 31 March 2027 and registration deadline 30 April 2027, or earlier if spaces sell out.
An international jury confers the Lorenzo il Magnifico awards at a ceremony on 31 October 2027.
