About
The Signature Art Prize, founded in 2006 by the directors of DegreeArt.com, celebrates the 'signature style' of early-career artists. Entrants submit one artwork in their signature style with at least four images, competing in one of four categories: Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Film, or Drawing and Printmaking.
It is open internationally to artists currently studying on an arts-based degree and to those who graduated within the last three years from a recognised art institution (for the 2025 edition, graduated no earlier than 2021).
Shortlisted and finalist artists are exhibited at a central London gala (Somerset House in June 2025); category winners receive gallery representation and other prizes. A separate Aldridge Junior Signature Art Prize runs for school-age artists. No dates for a 15th edition had been published as of October 2026.
