About
The STRABAG Artaward International has been awarded since 1994 by the construction group's art forum. Each three-year cycle names a set of eligible countries; for 2027–2029 these are Austria, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia (2024–2026 covered Austria, Germany and Slovenia). Artists must be born in or after 1986 and work in painting or drawing in a broad sense.
Applications are made online at strabag.art with a CV, letter and photos of three works; the 2027 submission window is in January 2027 (the 2026 window was 12–26 January 2026). The jury meets in spring, with the award ceremony and group exhibition of the five winners at the STRABAG ART Site in Vienna in June (25 June in 2026). Prizes: EUR 16,000 main award and four recognition awards of EUR 8,000.
