The Danish Arts Foundation's arbejdslegater for billedkunst are working grants for professional visual artists to develop their practice. Artists apply individually (members of groups each apply separately; sole traders may apply with a CVR number) through the Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen portal with MitID. The Legatudvalget for Billedkunst assesses applications and decides the amounts; previous awards are listed at kunst.dk/tildelinger.
The next application deadline is 3 February 2027 at 14:00, with the pool opening one month before. Applicants receive a decision no later than 12 weeks after the deadline. The grants are aimed at artists working in Denmark or with a Danish connection; the page read does not spell out residence rules.
