About
Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi is an annual free public exhibition of outdoor sculpture along the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk in Sydney. It is inclusive of all modes of sculpture and selects works by proposal from Australian and international artists.
The 2026 edition (16 October to 2 November 2026) awards around AUD $200,000, including the Aqualand Sculpture Award of $100,000, three Helen Lempriere Scholarships of $30,000 each, artist subsidies of $5,000 to $10,000, two Clitheroe Foundation Mentorships of $15,000 and additional awards for Greek, Czech and Tasmanian artists.
Entries for Bondi 2026 ran from 28 February to 19 April 2026 with a fee from AUD $50 for the first proposal; a 35% commission plus GST applies to sales. The Bondi 2027 call had not been published at the time of extraction, though the organiser refers to 2027 exhibitions and the Cottesloe 2027 call is open.
