About
RSA Residencies for Scotland is a biennial programme run by the Royal Scottish Academy that places artists at partner venues across Scotland, from city print studios to island and rural centres, including Glasgow Print Studio, Edinburgh Printmakers, Scottish Sculpture Workshop and Bothy Project. Artists apply for funds of up to £5,000 to support a residency period at their chosen host, with resulting work shown at the RSA. The scheme is open to artists at all stages of their careers and is free to apply.
The 2026 round is closed and seventeen artists were selected. The RSA states that the next round of applications will likely launch in late 2027 for 2028 selection.
