About
The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) invites non-member artists to submit work for its 215th Exhibition at Mall Galleries, London. Eligible media are watercolour or water-soluble mediums including watercolour, watercolour pencil, acrylic, ink and gouache (water-soluble oils excluded). Works must have been completed within the last three years and measure no more than 240cm high by 150cm wide including frame.
Submissions are made online via the Open Exhibition Submission System between 12 noon on 12 October 2026 and 2pm on 22 January 2027. Up to six works may be entered per artist, of which up to four may be selected. Entry costs £22 per work, or £14.50 for artists aged 35 or under. Over £15,000 in prizes is available across more than 20 named awards. Selection notification is on 5 February 2027 and the exhibition runs 24 March to 10 April 2027.
