About
Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, the art gallery at Llanbedrog on the Llŷn Peninsula, invites open submissions for its Summer Exhibition 2027 (25 July – 3 October 2027), expected to attract around 30,000 visitors. Accepted works are shown in a mixed 'off-the-wall' format with immediate purchase and collection available.
The call is open to artists of all backgrounds and experience levels aged 16 and over, including professionals, emerging practitioners, students and hobbyists, from Wales and internationally. Accepted disciplines include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and mixed media; written work, film, video, animation, music, sound and performance are excluded. Wall-based works may be up to 1m²; plinth or floor works up to 60cm³. An independent panel selects the work.
Entry is £15 for one to three works and £5 per additional work, up to six works (£30). Deadline 1 March 2027, 17:00, via CuratorSpace. Awards: Judges' Choice £1,500 plus a future solo exhibition; Young Artist Award (under 25) £500. The gallery takes 43% commission including VAT on sales.
