About
The Ö1 Talentestipendium für bildende Kunst, awarded for the 17th time in 2026, supports an emerging artist studying at the Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien, Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, Kunstuniversität Linz, Universität Mozarteum Salzburg or Kunstuniversität Graz. Applicants must be Austrian citizens or resident in Austria and in the final phase of their Bachelor or Master (or second study section under old regulations); Erasmus and doctoral students are excluded. Only fine-art works are accepted, though design students may apply with fine-art work.
The 2026 submission deadline was 20 April 2026; the EUR 10,000 stipend was awarded in autumn 2026 following a jury shortlist and an online public vote. Applications are coordinated through the universities (for the Angewandte via [email protected]).
