About
MASEREEL, the Flemish Community's centre for printmaking in Kasterlee, hosts three six-week Development Residencies per year, each for a group of nine international artists from emerging to established; prior printmaking experience is not required. The 2027 periods are 5 April–14 May, 30 August–8 October and 25 October–3 December 2027.
Residents get studio access six days a week, technical guidance, basic materials and an individual mini-apartment in the new artist pavilion. The participation fee is EUR 2,500 for six weeks (about one-sixth of the real cost); artists are encouraged to find external funding. Applications (artist statement, proposal, motivation, portfolio, CV) were due 11 May 2026, 11:00 CET, with selected artists contacted mid-September 2026. The next open call, for 2028, is expected in spring 2027.
