About
The Larnaca Biennale is an international contemporary art biennale in Larnaca, Cyprus, organised by the ARTION Cultural Association with support from the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Larnaca. The 2027 edition, curated by Niki Papaspyrou and Marios Fournaris, is titled 'Metatopies: Geographies in Motion' and runs 13 October – 26 November 2027.
Unlike most biennales it has a genuine open call: artists aged 18 or over from any country submit proposals through the organiser's website between 1 June 2026 and 31 March 2027. A separate call for parallel events ran 1 July – 31 October 2026.
Selected works are exhibited in the biennale; a jury gives a Grand Prix, three excellence awards, six distinction awards and three special awards, announced at the opening on 13 October 2027. Prize amounts are not published.
