About
The Lagos Biennial is organised by the Àkéte Art Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria. The 5th edition, 'The Museum of Things', is curated by Furen Dai, Chinyere Obieze and Sam Hopkins and runs 14 November – 6 December 2026, with a professional pre-opening on 13 November.
Artists in the main exhibition are selected by the curators. The Biennial's open-call route is OFFish, a parallel programme in which art institutions propose pavilion presentations alongside the central exhibition; the 2026 OFFish call closed on 30 January 2026.
Selected OFFish institutions occupy pavilions at the biennial venue for the duration of the exhibition.
