About
The Jan van Eyck Academie offers an eleven-month residency (15 January to 15 December 2027) for artists, designers from graphic to food and social design, curators, researchers, writers and architects, including duos and collectives. Participants work in individual studios with access to the academie's labs and public programme.
The 2027 call opened 4 October 2025 and closed 4 December 2025, with results in early May 2026. The application fee is EUR 65 excl. VAT (EUR 78.65 incl.), waived for applicants from and living in least-developed and low/lower-middle-income countries; an enrolment fee of EUR 2,750 excl. VAT applies to selected participants, and residents typically secure stipend funding separately. The call for 2028 is expected to open in October 2026.
