About
The International Photography Awards is an annual worldwide competition, closely linked to the Lucie Awards, open to professional, non-professional and student photographers in a wide range of categories for single images and series.
For IPA 2026 the early-bird deadline was 31 January 2026 (10% discount), the regular deadline 30 April and the final deadline 30 June 2026. Entry fees are $40 (professional), $30 (non-professional) and $20 (student) per single image, and $65/$55/$35 for series of two to nine images, with 20% off additional categories.
The prize pool totals $47,500: International Photographer of the Year receives $10,000 and a trophy, Discovery of the Year (non-professional) $5,000, and professional and non-professional category winners $1,000 and $500 respectively plus a travel allowance. IPA 2026 winners have been announced and the Best of Show exhibition tours after the awards week; the 2027 competition is expected to open in the autumn.
