About
The HAP (Hessisches Atelierprogramm) studio programme run by basis Frankfurt e.V. supports emerging artists in Hesse with free workspace, mentoring, professional development, networking and opportunities for international residencies. The 2027–2031 cohort runs from 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2031 with four places available.
Applicants must be born in 1987 or later, hold a university degree relevant to the field, not be enrolled at a university when the programme starts, and have their main residence in Hesse at the start. Artist groups and collectives may apply.
Participants receive a free studio at basis for four years, a mentoring programme, access to basis facilities including a project room for exhibitions, and sponsored stays abroad of up to 12 months.
