About
Høstutstillingen, the Norwegian National Art Exhibition, is organised by the artists' association Norske Billedkunstnere and selected by an artist jury from open submission. The 139th edition (2026) runs 11 September to 18 October 2026 at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo. Artists living in Norway, Norwegian artists abroad and artists with other connections to Norway may apply with up to three works or projects; no degree or membership is required.
For 2026 the digital application portal closed 27 February 2026 at 13:00 and results were given by the end of April. Exhibiting artists receive an exhibition fee (utstillingsvederlag) at current rates. The portal for the 2027 edition is expected to open at the end of January 2027 with a deadline in early March.
