About
The Grand Prix Images Vevey, created in 1995, is a production grant rather than a prize for finished work. Artists of any nationality submit a project proposal on Picter; a pre-jury nominates up to 35 projects, nominees upload full files and an international jury (chaired by Rineke Dijkstra for 2025/2026) selects the winner, who receives CHF 40,000 to realise the work over a year and present it at the Biennale Images Vevey. The Images Vevey Book Award is given alongside it, bringing total support above CHF 70,000.
For 2025/2026 the call ran 13 January to 25 February 2025, nominees uploaded files by 22 April and the jury met on 11 May 2025, with the winning project shown at the Biennale 5–27 September 2026. On the two-year rhythm the 2027/2028 call is expected around January–February 2027.
