About
Digital Explorations 2027 is the Maryland Federation of Art's fifth annual blind-juried exhibition for digitally produced artwork, presented in MFA's virtual gallery. Eligible work includes digitally produced photography, digital painting, illustration, graphic design, digital video and projection, in 2D or 3D image-based form, with no set theme.
Artists residing in US states and territories, Canada or Mexico may enter, and international entries are accepted except from sanctioned countries. Work must have been created within the past three years; files are limited to 10MB. Fees are USD $30 for one or two entries and $4.50 for each of up to four additional entries. MFA takes 20% commission on sales (15% for members).
Entries open 6 October 2026 and close 9 December 2026 at 11:59pm. Notifications are sent 14 January 2027, the exhibition runs 15 February to 14 April 2027 and awards are announced on 1 March 2027.
