About
Design Trust supports research, production, educational programmes and exhibitions that contribute to the public realm in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Two grant cycles run each year with deadlines on 20 April and 20 October; the current round closes 20 October 2026.
Seed Grants are HKD 50,000 and must be completed within 12 months; Feature Grants are up to HKD 300,000 upon special consideration and must be completed within 24 months. Funding covers direct project costs and excludes travel and living expenses. Qualifying projects include exhibitions, research and creative installations across design disciplines such as graphics, media, wearables, architecture and the built environment.
Individuals, collectives and certified non-profit organisations based in the Greater Bay Area, or seeking support for design projects related to the region, may apply up to twice per calendar year, with a maximum of one live Design Trust-funded project at a time.
