About
Visual Arts Scotland partners with Cove Park, the international artists' residency centre on Scotland's west coast, to offer two residencies for its members. One place is reserved for artists or makers with disabilities (in a fully accessible pod with space for a carer) and one is open to all VAS members. Each resident receives a self-contained pod with studio, a £1,200 artist fee and up to £250 towards travel, with access to Cove Park's communal kitchen, library and dining areas.
The 2026 residencies run from 27 October to 8 November 2026. Applications were made via a Google form plus a single PDF addressing four criteria and at least six images of work made within the past five years, emailed to VAS; the deadline given on Cove Park's listings was 28 August 2026. Applicants must hold a current VAS subscription (ordinary membership £40 a year). The partnership has run in recent years and is expected to recur.
