About
Charlottenborg Forårsudstillingen is one of Northern Europe's most important open-submission exhibitions, organised by the Charlottenborg Foundation and shown at Kunsthal Charlottenborg on Kongens Nytorv. Anyone aged 18 or over, of any background or nationality, may apply with up to five entries (works or series) through the online platform.
For the 2026 edition applications were open 5 January to 22 February 2026 with a DKK 500 fee; applicants were notified around 2 March and the exhibition ran 11 April to 10 May 2026. Each accepted artist or group receives an exhibition fee of DKK 2,500, and several prizes are awarded at the opening. The 2027 call has not yet been published but is expected on the same January–February schedule.
