About
Au Naturel is an annual international juried exhibition at Clatsop Community College's Royal Nebeker Art Gallery in Astoria, Oregon, featuring the nude human figure in work where the handmade mark is the primary means of image-making. Drawing, painting and printmaking are the core media; limited 3D work is considered. Photography and photomechanical processes are excluded.
Open to artists worldwide aged 18 or over; work must have been created in the last five years and be available for the full exhibition. 2D works may be up to 6 x 10 feet and 35 lbs; 3D up to a 36 x 36 inch footprint and 50 lbs. Entry via CaFÉ is $45 for up to three images plus $5 per additional image, with a deadline of 10 December 2026.
The exhibition runs 21 January to 11 March 2027, with a reception and awards on 18 February 2027. Awards include $1,000 in cash prizes, up to $2,000 in purchase awards, and featured exhibition and visiting-artist workshop opportunities.
