About
The Salón Nacional de Rosario is organised by the Municipality of Rosario through the Museo Castagnino+macro. The 79th edition is open to artists and collectives from anywhere in Argentina, with no distinction between disciplines: two-dimensional, three-dimensional, audiovisual, digital and performative works, finished or in progress, are accepted. One submission (work or project) per artist or collective.
Submissions were received online at salonnacional.castagninomacro.org from 18 August to 9 September 2026 at 13:00, with selected artists announced from 1 October 2026. Selected artists receive economic incentives towards production costs. The 2026 jury was Pauline Fondevila, Mariana Robles and Bruno Juliano.
The municipal announcement lists the Premio Salón Nacional de Rosario (acquisition), the Premio Colección (acquisition) and a Fundación Castagnino acquisition option, each ARS 4,000,000. The salon recurs annually.
