About
Fundación Paiz invites artists and collectives aged 18 or over to apply for the 25th Bienal de Arte Paiz, Guatemala's longest-running contemporary art biennial. The 2027 edition is directed by Mexican curator Cuauhtémoc Medina and accepts proposals in any practice, support or language.
Applicants submit a one-page CV, a 300-word trajectory summary, a portfolio of 10–15 JPG images, technical sheets and a project proposal of 500–1,000 words with 1–3 images, via the form on the Fundación Paiz website. Selected artists receive organisational production support, with additional costs borne by the artist.
The call runs from 1 to 30 October 2026. Candidates are notified from 16 November 2026 and the list of selected artists is published from January 2027.
